Each medical college has a closing rank for every counselling round. That closing rank is the worst rank that received a seat in that round. Our All India NEET college predictor compares your predicted AIR against the latest MCC round 1 AIQ closing ranks for 260+ medical colleges across India. Colleges whose closing rank is well above your AIR are marked Safe. Those within 15 percent of your AIR are Realistic. Those slightly below your AIR are Stretch, meaning you would need to improve to reach them.
Need to predict your AIR first? Use our NEET rank predictor 2026 to map your expected score to AIR.
NEET seats in government medical colleges are split into two pools. The All India Quota (AIQ) holds 15 percent of seats and is filled by central MCC counselling using your NEET AIR. The remaining 85 percent State Quota is filled by your home state, often using a state specific rank list. AIIMS and JIPMER seats go entirely through AIQ.
This predictor covers AIQ closing ranks only. For State Quota, cutoffs vary by state and category, and require looking up state specific counselling data. Treat the AIQ list as a starting point and cross check with your state authority for the full picture.
For the same college, closing ranks differ by category. The General closing rank for AIIMS Delhi may be around 60. The SC closing rank for the same college is typically in the 300 to 500 range, and ST is even higher. Our predictor applies category multipliers (calibrated against historical closings) so the colleges shown for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS are realistic for those category pools.

You enter your expected NEET 2026 score or your AIR. The predictor estimates the colleges you can target based on recent MCC round 1 closing ranks for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. It sorts results into three buckets: Safe (high probability), Realistic (probable), and Stretch (push for a better rank). Category multipliers for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS are applied automatically.
All India Quota (AIQ) reserves 15 percent of seats in state government medical colleges for candidates from any state, allocated through centralized MCC counselling using your AIR. The remaining 85 percent State Quota seats are filled by your home state through state counselling, often using your state rank. Our predictor focuses on AIQ closing ranks for now. State quota cutoffs vary by state and require state specific data.
Pick the category you applied with in your NEET form: General, EWS, OBC NCL, SC, or ST. The predictor uses category multipliers calibrated against historical MCC round closing ranks to estimate which colleges are within reach for your rank in your category. Reserved seats accept higher rank numbers than General seats at the same college.
Government MBBS through AIQ is highly competitive. For General category, you typically need a rank below 15,000 for a state government college and below 1,500 for a top tier college like AIIMS or MAMC. For SC and ST candidates, the bar is significantly lower due to category multipliers. Try different category and rank combinations in the predictor to see your specific options.
Private MBBS opens up at much lower ranks than government but comes with annual fees ranging from 10 to 30 lakhs. Deemed universities like Kasturba Medical College, MS Ramaiah, DY Patil, and Manipal accept candidates from rank 25,000 to 200,000 depending on the seat type. Factor in total cost (50 lakhs to 1.5 crore for full MBBS) before committing.
NEET 2026 is scheduled for May 2026 based on typical NTA calendars. Results are usually published within 4 to 6 weeks of the exam. MCC counselling for AIQ seats begins about 2 to 3 months after results. Use this predictor to plan your college list before the rush.
